The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Internal Sales Executive to support our growing sales team and help drive the continued success of the business.

A key part of this role will be developing and managing recurring revenue streams across the business. This includes supporting customer renewals, service plans, maintenance agreements, telematics subscriptions and other ongoing customer relationships that create long-term value for both SG and our customers.

You will be responsible for helping the sales team with lead generation by researching potential new customers. Using new technology and skills to generate leads. Always on the lookout for new lead generating ideas, customers, events, suggestions.

Working closely with the sales team, you will help ensure opportunities are followed up, quotations are prepared and customer relationships are maintained. You will play an important role in helping convert enquiries into orders, identifying opportunities within our existing customer base and ensuring no opportunity is missed.

You will be responsible for preparing quotations, supporting repair and service opportunities, maintaining accurate CRM records, coordinating customer activity and ensuring the sales team has the information needed to succeed.

Alongside your sales responsibilities, you will assist with organising exhibitions and events, coordinating product demonstrations and supporting lead generation campaigns.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with customers, likes being busy and wants to play an active part in helping a business grow. Working closely with the wider commercial team, you'll gain exposure to all areas of the business and play an important part in our future success.

As a growing business, flexibility is important. Whilst this role has a strong sales and commercial focus, it also includes administration, customer support, event coordination and general business support activities. Key Responsibilities

Proactively following up quotations, renewals and customer enquiries, generating appointments and identifying opportunities within new and existing accounts.

Supporting the sales team with quotations, customer enquiries and administration.

Preparing and managing repair quotations and follow-up activity.

Managing and maintaining CRM data to ensure records remain accurate and up to date.

Coordinating sales meetings, actions and reporting.

Answering incoming customer calls and directing enquiries appropriately.

Supporting the management of recurring revenue streams including service plans, renewals and customer follow-up programmes.

Assisting with lead tracking and sales pipeline management.

Delivering event planning, exhibitions, demonstrations and marketing activities.

Producing reports, customer information and sales documentation.

Working closely with operational teams to ensure excellent customer service.

About You

You are organised, proactive and enjoy taking ownership of your work. Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone, following up opportunities and starting conversations that can lead to new business.

You have excellent attention to detail and understand the importance of keeping customer information, quotations and CRM records accurate and up to date. You are comfortable managing multiple tasks, prioritising effectively and following things through to completion.

You enjoy working with people and are confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels. Whether you're answering a customer enquiry, coordinating a demonstration or supporting a sales opportunity, you take pride in providing a professional and responsive service.

You are naturally curious and enjoy learning about products, technology and how things work. An interest in construction, highways, infrastructure or engineering would be advantageous, but a willingness to learn is just as important.

Qualifications

Experience in B2B sales or internal sales roles, preferably within a related industry.

Proficiency CRM platforms is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.

We are looking for a highly motivated, commercially driven individual who enjoys finding opportunities, building relationships and winning work.

This is a highly technical sales role. The successful candidate must be capable of understanding customer challenges, assessing site requirements and advising on suitable solutions from across the Group portfolio.

Success in this role will come from your ability to open doors, identify customer challenges, develop technically robust solutions and convert opportunities into profitable business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a proactive new business strategy.

Generate and convert opportunities across highways, construction, infrastructure, utilities and local authority sectors.

Build relationships with contractors, consultants, local authorities, utilities, developers and infrastructure operators.

Promote the products, services and capabilities of SG, P&D Specialist Services and MVIS.

Attend customer meetings and site visits to understand operational and technical requirements.

Develop technically robust solutions and prepare quotations, proposals and technical submissions.

Interpret specifications, drawings and scopes of work.

Work closely with engineering, operational and project delivery teams.

Maintain an accurate pipeline and sales forecast.

Represent the business at exhibitions, industry events and networking opportunities.

Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the Group's products, services and capabilities.

Remain up to date with relevant legislation, standards and industry developments.
