15 of our pluckiest members of staff and some of our bold suppliers have banded to together to create The Green Gate Green Team and ride the 54-mile-long iconic London to Brighton bike ride on 15 September 2019.

This demanding bike ride takes our brave riders from the heart of London through Surrey and on into Sussex. After over 40 miles of riding and just 9 miles from the finish our brave and courageous riders will have to battle with the gruelling and infamous Ditchling Beacon climb before finally heading downhill to finish on Brighton Pier!

Our Green Gate Green Team are taking on this incredible challenge to raise £3k for The Princess Project. A Christian charity based in Maidstone works with all mothers who need a little extra help. The fantastic Princess Project understands that becoming a mother is an incredible journey but it can incredibly stressful, isolating and difficult at times.

The funds the Green Gate Green Team raise will support the charity’s recent expansion into the Medway area and doubling of the staff team.

The charity has over 40 volunteers and supports the local community with 1:1 mentoring for teenage mums, TotCycle monthly events and operate 2 resource hubs in Maidstone and Gillingham. It also has weekly drop in sessions and emergency supplies of baby clothes and food for those in need. The princess project also blesses every new mum they meet with a Princess Box of goodies which is just for mum. CEO Emma Tanner founded the charity 8 years ago and Green Gate’s Managing Director, Neil Sampson has been a trustee since its incorporation.
